Exciting insights into our work and diverse careers that make a difference—that’s what awaited the girls and boys at this year’s Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day at HPC. They weren’t just there to watch—they got to get hands-on.
Seven girls learned a lot at our Leipzig site about topics such as surface water, groundwater, flooding, and heavy rainfall, and were able to collect water samples and take measurements themselves. With great enthusiasm, they helped rescue ants from a groundwater monitoring station. In discussions with our environmental planning experts, they learned how we work to protect bats, lizards, and other animals.
There were also exciting insights at our Merseburg office: There, we welcomed two Boys’ Day participants who learned more about the role of a team assistant. We’re delighted that we were able to inspire these young people with our topics and our work.
